What could be more welcoming on a warm sunny day but to be met by a smile, hand made canapes and a glass of cool prosecco on the decking of this elegant tennis club? The draped, hand crafted, bunting gave the surroundings a relaxed festive vibe to the proceedings. This promising start was followed by delicious tarragon salmon with a choice from a rainbow of salads. Time to chat, unwind in good company, laugh and let the bubbly flow.
As a nod to the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee year, our president Melanie proposed a toast to her Majesty and SJLC cake designer of the year, Julia, provided what will become “the most talked about and photographed cake” concoction with a side of berries.
Captivated by this event members reluctantly slipped away, looking forward to the summer outing.
