Members arrived in good time to enjoy a glass of Prosecco, mingle and have a chat. Christmas cards and name badges were spread on a table by the entrance to the dining room for members to collect on entry.
Hilary welcomed 17 members and two guests. She explained that members would be asked to change places between courses and sit on a different table. Finally, she thanked Phil and Jo for the lovely lunches we have had throughout 2024 – everybody applauded.
The Stapleton Arms served us a lovely lunch. Changing tables between courses allowed people to talk with different members, ensuring that conversation didn’t run dry. Overall, the meal had a very relaxed feel to it.
