David Grierson, who has been interested in China since childhood, was lucky enough as an adult to join an overland trip to the Far East. He travelled to Japan,Cambodia and Vietnam, and ultimately spent seven years living and teaching in the Peoples’ Republic. Many of you will remember the fascinating monthly articles he wrote for the Blackmore Vale Magazine, which found an enthusiastic following amongst the local readership. He gave us an enthralling illustrated talk with pictures as varied as Mount Fuji and the Cu Chi tunnels, where people lived during the Vietman war.
